The Pan American Games are a multi-sport event, held every four years between competitors from all nations of the Americas.
The games were held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where they already started a possible bid for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
During 16 days, 5,662 athletes from 42 countries in the Americas fought with perseverance, to get the best results on the courts, tracks, fields and swimming pools of Rio 2007.
Congratulations to the United States, Cuba and Brazil, who got the first, second and third places overall.
